I do not think this statement is true however I do think that there's been a shift in the expectation of roles as father and mother. Women are able to continue with their careers with less social pressures of staying at home to be a house wife - this in no way lessons the compassion and care for their child. Meanwhile more men are opting to be a stay at home dad which in itself is also a good improvement with no judgement. The responsibilities are being entwined so fathers and mothers can be the best parents for their children in the areas they think they are most efficient in.
